Collaborating with Tjing Ling Industrial Research Institute and National Taiwan University, Wah Lee Industrial Corp. established AHEAD Optoelectronics, Inc. in 1995.  AHEAD, which stands for A dvanced H olographic E ffects a nd D iffractive Optoelectronics, has close ties with many industrial research institutes in Taiwan through collaboration projects and joint developments, with special emphasis on optical electromechanical technology and holographic technology.

AHEAD's corporate philosophy is to use “technology”, “innovation” and “systems integration” to provide value to the optoelectronics and holographic industry.   AHEAD, with its technical team holding Doctorates and Masters degrees from well-known and prestigious universities, and having its core technology in optics, the company has entered such fields as holography and LED optical applications. Applying its optical expertise to holography technologies, AHEAD has developed many new products, such as holographic nameplates & tags, security labels, holographic hot stamping foils, etc., which are sold to various countries throughout the world.   Our holographic security products are not only attractive, but also highly secure since we incorporate many security features and use technologies which are difficult to replicate.   Utilizing holographic diffraction principles, AHEAD incorporates diffractive optical elements (DOE) to its next generation holographic products.   

It addition to its core manufacturing business, AHEAD also is a distributor for many well-known and leading products such as polarizing optical components from Meadowlark Optics, circulasers from Blue Sky Research, and UV photoresist from Micro Resist Technology.
